✨ About FindInLondon

Because London Isn’t Just a Place. It’s a Feeling.

FindInLondon wasn’t built in a boardroom. It began with one family, one suitcase, and one impossibly rainy afternoon.

When the war forced us to leave our home, London opened its arms. What started as survival became something deeper — a second chance wrapped in misty mornings, overheard kindness, and cobbled streets that felt like hope.

We didn’t set out to build a brand. We were simply trying to find a good meal, a safe place, a smile in the corner shop.

But somewhere between the cherry blossoms in Battersea and the poetry in a Brixton pub, we realised something:

The heart of London lives in the small, the real, the local. And it deserves to be seen.

🌿 What We’re Building

FindInLondon is an evolving digital companion — part guide, part movement.

It’s where you can discover a local bakery that still bakes by hand. A tiny bookshop with a dog behind the till. A family-run salon where your name is remembered.
From bold neighbourhood food guides to small business listings and curated maps, everything we feature is handpicked, heartfelt, and deeply London. We care about the pubs, parks, and people who give London its soul.

❤️ Built for Locals, Loved by Visitors

We believe the best London experiences are often un-Googleable.

You won’t always find them on the top 10 lists or in guidebook rankings.

You find them in the places locals trust — and pass down by word of mouth.

That’s why we talk directly to Londoners who love their city and visitors who want more than just a photo in front of Big Ben.
It’s also why we’re working side-by-side with small businesses, artists, and entrepreneurs — the people who keep London vibrant behind the scenes.

Because this city is loud with talent. Sometimes it just needs a louder platform.

🌍 Who’s Behind This?

I arrived in London with my small son, my 78-year-old mum, a naughty dog, and a suitcase that carried far more than clothes — it carried everything we couldn’t leave behind. This was a journey none of us ever imagined. There was grief. Fear. Hope. A dog who didn’t quite understand what was happening. And a quiet, stubborn belief that we could begin again.

My husband and his mother joined us later, folding themselves into this new life we were building from scratch — sleepless nights, a rented house, and a half-formed idea that slowly, through tea breaks and tears, became something else entirely.

A way to say thank you.

A way to give back.

A way to shine a light on the places — and people — that make this city feel like home.

We came with nothing but stories

And London gave us new ones.

Findinlondon is a firm belief that places matter. People matter.

And sometimes, the right corner café really can save your day.

And yes, it’s just us building this. No funding (yet). No big team (yet!). Just love, belief, and far too many mugs of tea.

📣 Why Now?

Because small businesses need louder voices.
Because tourists are craving something real.
And because in a city this big, it’s easy to miss the magic.

That’s why we’re launching verified listings, editorial neighbourhood guides, curated local maps, and (soon!) free and affordable courses for small business owners — to help the businesses who need it most.

This isn’t just a platform. It’s a way to protect what makes London feel like London.

The magic is in the small.

🫖 Join the Movement

Whether you’re a lifelong Londoner, a first-time visitor, or a small business looking for love — you’re welcome here.

Let’s rediscover this city together.
Not just the postcard moments — but the pint-sized wonders, the warm smiles, and the wild idea that something beautiful might be waiting just around the corner.

Brewed with too many mugs of tea, one brilliant idea, and a heart that wouldn’t give up.
