Description
Step into OKAN Brixton Village, and for a moment, you’ll feel like you’ve wandered into a cosy Osaka backstreet. Specialising in okonomiyaki—Japan’s famous savoury pancake—this tiny, no-frills spot is all about big flavours, comforting plates, and a relaxed, buzzing atmosphere.
The okonomiyaki here is the real deal—crispy on the outside, soft in the middle, packed with cabbage, spring onions, and your choice of toppings, then drizzled in rich Japanese mayo and tangy sauce. But it doesn’t stop there—expect comforting yakisoba noodles, miso-glazed aubergine, and warming bowls of homemade miso soup. It’s fast, fresh, and made with love, just like you’d find in Osaka’s bustling food stalls.
If you’re after authentic Japanese comfort food with a Brixton twist, OKAN Brixton Village is a must-visit. Pull up a stool, grab some chopsticks, and let the flavours transport you.

Okan offers casual dinning with amazing food and is budget friendly. It is definitely a hidden gem in Brixton Village and has the most authentic Japanese food. The service was impeccable and so was the styling & presentation of the food.
Do try their signature dishes. Highly recommended.
